1Password for macOS now supports Touch ID, Touch Bar on new MacBook Pros
1Password for macOS is already one of the best password management apps on the market, and the latest update includes features for new MacBook Pros before the new notebooks even hit stores.1Password delivers Touch Bar support for interacting with the password manager using the new Retina OLED display that replaces the traditional function key row, and Touch ID support makes it possible to unlock 1Password using your fingerprint on new MacBook Pros. You'll have to wait for your new MacBook Pro to arrive before you can start using these new features, but 1Password will be one of the first third-party apps to totally support the new MacBook Pro features when they hit stores next week.1Password says the Touch ID unlock feature can be enabled in the Security Preferences panel within the app. This will let you rely on your fingerprint rather than your 1Password-specific password in most situations.Touch Bar support will enable easy switching between password vaults from the keyboard, plus easy access to adding new entries, switching categories, locking vaults, and using search.
